Default Question about towing

Has anyone here taken a look at the towing instructions in the 2010 owners manual?
Holy Schnieke!
They can't be serious. You'd have to have the manual with you to follow all the convoluted
steps. After a day on the lake, I won't remember half the steps!
Could someone please clarify?

What steps are you refering to? It's no different than any other truck or tow vehicle.

I have not read the steps... what are they? I do nothing different than I did on my '07 or '05 Ram or my wife's '08 Hummer.

I don't see anything unusual in the manual or user's guide?

are you refering to towing something with the truck or having the truck towed with all wheels on the ground and putting the 4x4 transfer case in neutral?

^^ I'd be interested to hear the answer to if your are towing or being towed.

A local tow truck driver who I know (whos been working for 25 years in the tow business) told me that if I ever need a tow to request a flatbed. He said that they have heard reports that towing the '09s by the front tires (like the standard way) can screw up the front end. Don't ask me why, I never got the full story. Would be interested to hear it though.....I just don't understand it.

Towing 4x4's has always been an iffy situation. I think the drive shafts should be removed.

Towing your vehicle starts on page 423 of your owners manual.

So if you accidentally park somewhere illegal or you go to Philidephia you have to display towing instructions or they could do some major damage to your vehicle. I didn't read it yet but is it like this you have to roll the truck if you can a few miles an hour slip the switch into neutral then put the truck in neutral and go ahead everything should be a go or is it that much worse?
