Default Adding lsd

I called my dealer and he said it would cost 1500.00 to add lsd with no gear change. Also it is only covered for 12 months or 12000 miles even though I have the extended warranty. Is that a good price?

That all depends on what it is worth to you. I wouldn't pay it.

****ty price if that's all you're getting for a warranty. You can get aftermarket (Auburn Pro) LSD plus a gear swap for around $1300 (4x2).

I bet if you let the trans shop supply the parts and do the work it would be cheaper and they would probably warranty it as long. Then the dealer might not have to know, and if it breaks later, you can try to play dumb LOL.

Speaking of rear ends my window sticker says 9.25 LD what is LD? Oh the front says some metric size

9.25 is your axle size and Dodge labels the 9.25 Ram axles as Light Duty. So....9.25LD

No truck should be made with out an LSD what were they thinking. The electronic traction control is a joke for a truck nothing worse than going through some mud and the motor cutting power.
