Y'all get hail in Iraq? Btw, it had snowed that same day in Austin for about 4 - 5 minutes. What a tease.....

Apparently, yes. It was pretty bad for a couple days, that was a couple weeks ago but it's been raining off and on since then and pretty cold. Btw - maybe it's just the reg. cab w/ short bed, but that truck reminds me of a beefed up lightning looks-wise. Those wheels do look good on it I thought they were stock for a sec heh.

The wheels made an amazing difference. Here's a shot before...

And here's the truck after the Chrome Clads...

Looks MUCH better with the new wheels. I know I'm going to have the black area above the bumper painted to match the body, but I'm not sure if I want to go with a chrome front bumper or paint it as well. The truck is a daily driver and I put right at 80 miles a day on it, as such a chrome bumper may take the abuse a bit better. I like the chrome grill surround - so it stays.

Same basic questions for the rear bumper - paint or chrome? Haven't decided yet. I just hope I can pull the rear bumper off for paint or chrome replacement without having to remove the trailer hitch. I'm a bit worried about losing the bolts inside the rail if I have to take the hitch off. Anyone who has installed the factory receiver will know what I mean.

And in case anyone wonders why a V6? Here's a shot of one of the trucks stable mates...

Pretty close color match eh?

Hahaha nice, yeah same reason I stuck with the 3.41 or whatever gears on mine instead of upgrading...better gas mileage and my truck's for cruising, GSX-R 750 for corner carving.

I'll be heading down that way around late January, I heard about some big 2 day sporting clays shoot put on by Coors and Halliburton? Guy over here said he helps with some of the organization and told us come on down, said for military guys back from Iraq it's free food, free beer, and all ammo's provided for 2 days of shooting all I have to pay for is the hotel room. Know anything about that?
