So... I feel like I got dooped. When I bought my '09 QC Hemi ST new from the dealer, they said there wasn't a key fob. However, my truck has power door locks. I have not heard of any vehicles made now-a-days that have power locks and do NOT come with a key fob. Did anyone else not get one when they bought their RAM?

 

So do you have a metal key for the ignition? If so they do not come with a key fob. The key fob is the plastic ignition key with the remote unlock built into it. If you want to add key less entry you will have one of those old time remote key chain things. If you check your sticker that was on your truck, look to see if it came with key less entry. If it did go back and ask for your remotes and if not you may be out of luck.

 

It happened to me too, I got the metal key and I have power locks, but it didnt come with the key fob.

You have to buy the wireless lock kit from MOPAR and install it... luckily it only costs $170

 

ST's don't come with keyless entry

 

you have to have the dealer starscan it in after install....my guess they charge you 100 bucks.

 

My SLT did not come with Keyless entry.I just have the metal key also called a Sentry Key.When I bought my truck I asked the sales men if I can add on Keyless entry a factory unit.He said yes,when I went to the parts counter a couple of months later the parts guy looked it up and said that it was not available yet as a over the counter add on.He said to keep checking back and it will available soon probably by spring.I can get the Remote Start for my truck but not the Keyless Entry.That just does not make any sense.If I would have known that from the begining I would have told the salesmen to bring me another truck.Parts guy said that a modual needs to be added for Keyless Entry.

What is the build date on your truck? Keyless entry is one of the features you get with the SLT package.

My SLT was built in Febuary and my paper work shows Sentry Key.I just have to wait for a kit to come out from Dodge.

The SLT also shows Sentry key. Any chance you could take a picture of your window sticker and post it?

 

Mine didn't come equipped with keyless remote either, I am having after market installed soon. It is an ST, I didn't expect everything I did get out of it.
