Default Bakflip F1 just arrived!

Just received my F1 today, very happy with it, took 20 minutes to install, no shims with kit or needed. personally I think they took the G2 (non HD and increased the thickness and added the aluminum to the underside. I was turned off of them for awhile for warranty issues, but couldn't find anything else that would make me happy until the F1 came out, and at first I still wasn't sold on the price being over 1,000, but they came down, got it at 949.00, still think its alot but I am happy with the purchase and function of the product. Now I want the 5" mopar side steps, anyone have them that they want to get rid of? Will Post pics tommorrow, dark out now.

Where did you buy it from? I have been looking at these for awhile now and have been on the fence with the G2 just from reading about hail damage and warranty issues. Now that the F1 is out I think I might be placing an order.

Very nice! I am sold. I found one at http://www.tonneaucoversfortrucks.com/ for $844 plus free shipping. I just placed my order and can't wait to get it.

So what is the "skin" of the F1? Does it seem durable?

Its a fiberglass polymer product on the outside, seems durable, definately will not dent from hail. Like I said, I think they took the HD (thickness of panels), put the original G2 skin on the outside and put the aluminum skin on the underside, never seen the original G2. Just could not find anything comparable, the extang solid fold had a 2or 3 year warranty but has aluminum piano hinges (my dad has it on his 08 silv. ltz, don't like it sitting on the rails), the mopar also sits on the rails and you have to cut out the front stake pockets. the fiberglass lids are awesome with their lifetime warranties, had an ARE on my 04 ram, great warranty service, they replaced the lid after the second incidence and upgraded it to underside carpet and rail seal, just can't take it off easy to use the bed. So in the end, with this new product, and lower price, here I am taking a chance, we will see, so far I am very happy, I don't have to take my fire gear and bedding in and out of my truck every shift, I am a bouncing Captain in the county (no permanent home). I hope JNOMAD bought the F1 just can't see it for that price, think he got the HD instead.

I thought the price was a lot cheaper than anywhere else as well. I asked for the part number and was told it is the F1 and the part number was 72203 which is the correct part number for the F1 for a 2010 1500 ram QC. The g2 is part # 26203. The HD is part # 35203. I will let you guys know for sure once it gets here.

The company has a sale of 11% off and free shipping. I spoke with Morrie the owner.

Only time will tell.
