Default 305/70 MTRs

im in the process of getting some 305/70r17 goodyear wrangler mtrs and im going to put them on the stock 17x7 wheels. i have heard some of yall saying that the wheels will move inside the tire. is that going to cause any problems? i plan on 17x9 wheels later but can only do so much at one time. i also have the daystar lift going on, 2.5" in front and 2'' in rear. are there any suggestions if yall dont think this will work. hope to have it done after christmas

I wouldn't do it. That specific tire in that size is listed for a wheel with a minimum width of 8 inches and a maximum width of 9 1/2 inches. Installing it on a 7 inch rim means the weight of the vehicle will be straining the bead area of that tire, and the tire will have a tendency to roll within the rim when cornering hard.

Do you have the steel, chrome clad steel, or aluminum wheels? The chrome clad steel are 8 inches wide. I believe the alloys are 7 inches wide.
