Or, to summarize, you need these 2 parts:

05064449AG - The Peikner (sp?)(aka UConnect aka Bluetooth) module
82212000 - the iPod Cable

If you don't have UConnect installed from the factory, then you need the whole UConnect kit, not just the Peikner module part # I gave above. If you do have UConnect from the factory, then your UConnect module may already be the right part #, but probably not.

I put the exact 2 parts listed above into my truck tonight (with the Peikner module listed replacing the one that came in my truck from the factory) and now my iPod works perfectly. I have the REN radio w/UConnect from the factory.

How about the stinky A/C? Even my heater stinks at times.

awe that would be the answer to my preyers, i ran out of room for music on my ren hdd already so my 160gb ipod was going to fix that problem but i hate the ugly look of ipod cables and no steering wheel controls plug a huge radio display that simply says aux, i'll have to look into this i imagin the dealership will just screw me out of 400 dollars and it won't work but meh i'm willing to make the sacrifice hopefully i can get it free, i've already considered just paying the crazy amount for a new nav radio just for ipod ability

also an update since its no longer stupid cold <30 here my back up sensors seem to be fine, as well as the key fob has been good lately and command start seems to be fine also with the cold being gone for now, and my wiper blades now return home im thinking ice built up on the limit switch for bottom position or how ever it works im just making assumptions but it seems to be back to good now

thanks for all the remarks i'll comment on the ipodness later when i go in again

I get the same message. I just recently washed the truck and it was -8C out and it affected the park assist. After the ice melted and dried out it was fine.

i have the 09 cc trx slt. so far only problem has been defroster vents did not work, fan was blowin hot air on the floor, it toook about 30 minutes for the defroster to finally come on. i live in upstate NY near the boarder, it was extremely cold 2 weeeks ago, so i thought it was the cold that caused the problem. i have since learned from this website the defroster is a problem but can be fixed by the dealer for free. i bought my toy this past nov, and have 2000 miles on her.

The prices are not as different as they were, the dollar is or I should say was close to par for a bit it is finally dropping value. I am imagining he is quoting the sticker price, at least I hope so . My sticker was 44500 Canadian but I only paid 28000 before taxes so add 15 percent. All I know is I got a good trade on a lease car, employee discount plus the bonus money I had not used yet and it was right before the US went bankrupt, we were getting deals up the wazzoo. My Uncle bought an R/T for around the same price I paid, I gave him my one a year person gets the same deal as an employee. I am not sure they even have that, it's also my Uncles fault I have this truck. I had to go sign some papers so I told him I would meet him the owner was on vacation but just from a photo he took over my lease car...was mint (Charger) and gave me the awesome deal on the truck. I wasn't even shopping for a truck like that, how stupid I am in a wheelchair how the hell will I get in. Well that took a month to solve but all is good. I don't go out in the cold much anyway I hate it.

Are you saying that it was not covered under warranty?

1. the infamous unlock key fob issue, usually happens fairly rarely and i have now just accepted that its something i'll have to deal with forever

2. remote starter won't start my truck when its cold you know when you want it to work im talkin like minus 25-30 celcuis it will just flash the lights once instead of twice and do nothing, no message comes up on the evic, everything else works unlock, lock, and panic but the start won't even try to start just a simple headlight flash and it stops there.

3. Also recently my wiper blades have decided they can stop anywhere on the windshield once you turn them off, even when using the wash feature as soon as you let go of the button it will stop where it was in motion.

4. When cold frost seems to bother the back up sensors they go off either both sides of just one and remain in for a bit, making them pretty much usless sometimes it tells me to service back up sensors then it will go away i wiped some frost off them one day but that didn't seem to help maybe they are just frozen and fubar'd already

5. not really a problem but i HATE that i can't run my ipod through my ren stereo i guess i'll be paying a stupid amount more of money to dodge so i can have one more nice feature that they should not be screwing us for

bottom line is im quiet dissapointed with a 47,000 dollar truck that has since been out preformed but my room mates 42,000 dollar ford which not to mention has more features. I just can't wait for the next 5 years worth of actual problems i hope this is not a forecast of things to come.

Anyone experience similar problems or have them fixed i'm still waiting for 10,000 km for an oil change to take it into dodge to have them pretend to look at the problems and then say well it all seems fine for us.
Sorry I'm a little late to the thread here, but yes, I have the unlock issue. It seems that if I am too close to the truck I fairly frequently cannot unlock it. Frequently I need to go about 10 feet away from the passenger side to get it to unlock. The dealership has replaced the wireless receiver (which also holds the rest of the security, seat/mirror memory, etc.). That had no effect except to lose all my settings. They then replaced my key fobs with the "A/B" version that was released since my truck shipped. I have had much better luck with th newer fobs, but I still have the unlock problem on a rare occasion.

Do you have any updated info? Chrysler claims there's nothing else to replace and that it isn't a known problem, and I have rented several '09 Rams AND have a friend with an identical truck to mine .. none of those trucks have ever had the issue.

I will say that this is not something I am willing to live with as it is very frustrating. So, I will log service call after service call until someone takes it seriously.

I suspect the issue is that the wireless receiver is not shielded well enough and it locks up from other signals. It also seems to me that the fob puts out such a strong signal (I can start my truck from over two blocks away) that attempting to unlock when you are too close to the drivers side of the truck overwhelms the module. I'm just guessing here (and no, I never have an issue locking the truck no matter how close I am).
