Another set of Goodyear Wranglers for sale
For some, the stock tires are just not good enough. I knew they wouldn't be when I purchased the truck and so I factored in the cost of new tires. They weren't good enough on my '07 or '05 either. And when I say "good enough", they just don't have enough grip on a steep wet boat ramp with 5,000lbs behind the truck in 2wd. Wider tires and problem is solved.
You'd have to have the **** to turn first... I passed on 4x4 for a few reasons. One, we have 4x4 in the wife's Hummer, so when I need it, I drive that. Two, we live in Central Texas - not much need for 4x4. Three, it costs a few grand more. Four, it lowers the gas mileage, and I drive 25,000+ miles/year.
well you just said that you didn't have enough grip with your truck IN 2wd, you didn't say that you truck was only a 2wd truck and the way it was written sounded like it was 4wd. I totally understand why you don't have a 4wd truck in texas.
I told my wife that if she ever decides to trade in the Hummer though, I'm trading in my truck (most likely for a 1500 4x4). I don't know that I could live without having a 4x4 vehicle in the family.
