Are you sure all the rattling in the dash is not the ESP or whatever it is...the traction control. I found that I cannot spin my tires in the snow when its on in 2wd it would be shut off if I got stuck no way to get out of some stuck spot without the wheels moving fast to keep momentum. But the is what 4x4 is for LOL.

They were out pouring the liquid salt on the roads tonight in anticipation of the freezing rain tomorrow morning. That stuff is about as nasty as it gets. Eats into everything.
