OK so I'm a pretty handy guy. I'm no mechanic, but have had greasy hands many many times. I got these new HUGE rails. They look sweet, but I cannot for the life of me get these things to tighten down! I had a set of the regular rails on my Silverado. No problem. These I can tighten the bolt all the way and almost yank the ends right out by hand. Of course this is after cutting up my plastic bed caps to accept the rails!

Anyone out there with any advise I would sure appreciate it. This is sure a Christmas present gone bad! I wasn't a happy guy in the shop tonight!

 

i put the mopar bed rails on my larmie, it took about an hour. make a template to cut the pocket up by the cab, get the hard ware ready on bed rail itself, then angle the bed rail up by the cab first, them by the tail gate, then tighten down. I really don't know how the aftermarket rails are? sorry
