Default am i an idiot

I just got a new ram and I really did not like the badges. I went out and bought the wheel and tool them off. I never let it get hot, well there is always a little friction but it was not hot not even warm.

After I was done I polished and from one angle there is almost what looks like a dullness. It is not easy to see but if you are really searching from the right angle and know where it is the marks are there.

The truck is black.

OK now someone tell me how dumb I am and that this is not fixable.....crap!!

You should be able to wax the spots and bring back the shine. I just removed my badges and had the same problem until I waxed it

Default wax

I hate to say this but I waxed it a few times with Meguiars NXT. I probably screwed it up.

i wonder if it has anything to do with how thick the adhesive is. under the ram logo it is really a freakin huge amount of adhesive.

Maybe I should have said that, but I used polishing compound and then I used wax. I hope you get your truck back to normal. Taking off these badges was a pain in the butt. The hardest vehicle ive done yet

Default buff

You have to buff it with a fine cutting compound with a buffer and then wax it and it will be as good as new.

Same thing happened when I took mine off. When I was getting my challenger hood put on the paint and body man buffed it right out. I had tried everything. I thought I messed it up to. Your ok, just let a good paint and body man buff on it since it is black.
