Default airlift 1000 and mygig update

first for anyone who has the 1000 airbag set up:

does it affect the ride when not in use?
does it mess with the truck's warranty?

Mygig

I have version 1.220 and want to update, the process is simple but the website says sometimes the system does not work properly after install. anyone had that problem?

thanks!!

I have airbags and they are great for pulling trailers. If you let the air down to 5 psi when not in use you may be able to tell the difference if you go from one truck that doesn't have them to the truck that has them. I've had them for about a year now and forget that they are there, and people still tell me how nice the truck rides. I asked my local dealer about the warranty and he told me the only way that they can decline the warranty is if they can prove that the bags caused the problem. Don't know about the other question.

Default airbags

thanks for the info. not sure if I will need them but at least there is an option.

What was the reason you installed them? are you hauling heavy payloads?

As for the update I asked about to the mygig that was super easy, though people say the same thing about removing badges....

I am in construction and when I demo a bathroom or kitchen the debris is usually around 1200 to 1500 lbs. I had the back loaded with 1500 lbs and the back end sagged an inch or two, which I thought was great considering the weight. That also didn't include my weigt 230 plus my helpers 175.

I keep 5lbs in mine when I don't have the bed loaded like the manufacturer says. I don't feel any difference from stock. The 5lbs is to keep the springs from "pinching" the bags.

I made a big issue about the squat of the rear end when I first bought my truck. All is good now, I can load it to capacity and maybe even a little beyond and no squat.

Did the mygig update last night. No issues. I would just take their advice and not shut it off in the middle.

http://www.airliftcompany.com/ This seems to be the direction everyone is going. Mine are manually filled with the valve installed right next to my license plate. They also have on board air kits that you can install.
