Default truck felt way more powerful today

i dont know what happened... but im going 30 mph down a side street and some guy in a prius decides he wants to parallel park and starts slowing down... so i swerve to the left and punch it just to **** his hippie *** of at me burning all that gas... and i guess my truck really wanted to show him something but i have never felt it take off that fast... it kicked hard and took off like i have never felt... and i tend to floor it often.

prior to buying my truck i test drove the new challenger and Pontiac g8 gt... and i thought that g8 was the quickest vehicle i ever drove.. but damn today my truck really showed me something..

anyone else have trucks whose power seems to fluctuate daily?

Not me, but one o' the other guys has a 4.7 that wakes up whenever he's contested by a Mustang GT.

Might be the cold weather... my 6.0 is acting a whole lot happier with the 30s and 40s than it did with the 80s a couple months ago.

I have had that exact feeling on occasion, I think it's the perfect rev, the perfect type of road, temperature, got some good gas, you hit the pedal exactly when it was supposed to be hit..who knows but mine does that all the time. Sometime you stomp it and wow it goes fast but everyone once in a while he or she says lets see what we can do, scares me sometimes cuz sometimes the rear wheels break for a second till the stupid esp or whatever it is changes that. If you really wanna feel your truck shut off the esp turn the key forward while its running and then stomp on it, but be ready for a squirrely assend ..and you have the 392's mine has 355s' and it feels fun.

Cold weather will make a huge difference in these Hemi's. I have a 6.1 in my charger and when it's cold it as if I have 50 more HP. If your truck is running a little fat (too much fuel) when it is cold it burns that fuel mo better! LOL Kinda like a tiny shot of cold N2O.
