Size for the front speakers

Default Size for the front speakers

Does anyone know if i can put 6x9 speakers in the back doors of a crew cab with no problem and what size should i put in the front doors im thinking some 6x5 polk audio db651s someone told me that if i put 6x9 in the front it well hit the windows is that true?

you can fit 6x9s in each door panel.... and the trouble isnt the window coming down... its the metal reinforcement bar BEHIND the mounting bracket for the 6x9.

So all you have to worry about for your 6x9s is DEPTH of the speaker, check it out for yourself. I managed to fit JL audio 6x9s in my rear doors :-) I had to dynamat the metal reinforcement bar tho, otherwise it would rattle.

For the front I got infinities and those fit perfect, with no mods at all.

Do you have the model number for those infinities you put in the front?

I'd be interested in the model #'s of both the JL's and the Infinities as well. Also, did you swap out the dash speakers or disable them? Lastly, did you add an amp to run the new 6x9's?

the front speakers are hooked up like components with the dash ones I believe. It seems the front door doesn't have fullness but when you sit up and listen with the dash one they sound good together, but separate...not so good.
