sub and amp install

Default sub and amp install

today i was helping my buddy put a sub and amp in his 2009 ram and we are putting it in on the stock head unit and we got everything wired up and whent to test and we had no remote power. i'm ask where did ya put your remote wire to?

You could find a acc power in the fuse panel, or tap it into the cig lighter, or get a lockpik...

I would stay away from tapping the fuse panel if at all possible because it is more involving & stick with the suggestion for tapping the cig lighter outlet. You won't be drawing much power so no need to worry about overvoltage.

Never post to the fuse panel or cig lighter. Find a wire to tap into at the back of the radio. You want your amps to turn OFF when the radio is turned off. You really don't want to start wiring that amp's remote wire up to places other than a wire coming off of the H/U.

+1 for Laramie1997. Not good to have stuff constantly on when it doesn't need to be.
