Default Thinking of trading in

This coming up Aug, I will have had my truck for 4 years, with 2 years left. So I was thinking, maybe it could be a good time to trade it off. I was thinking maybe go with a full size truck this time. I was looking at getting a 2010 Ram 4x4 Sport Single Cab. I wanted an extended cab but they don't offer it on the Ram. Only the Dakota. And I dislike Quad Cabs. So I was left with a single cab. No biggie I guess. So my question is, would I be making a mistake by trading in my 06 Dakota for a 2010 Ram?

ummmmm... If you can comforterably afford it, and plan on keeping this 'new' truck for a long time... And it's really what you want... You won't be disappointed with a Ram!

It would be like upgrading from an Ipod to a 5.1 surround system. No comparison.

My (now) wife used to have a Durango, and her ex had a Dakota. Both were utterly crap. They rode like horse carts and drove like dogs. Of course the fact that it's my wife's ex may be coloring my judgement a little...

The coil springs, better appointed interior, increased horsepower, Tiptronic transmission, (did I say coil springs?) make this a complete no brainer.

One day while shopping, I had the opportunity to park next to one of those things. This may help your decision...

Well, I LOVED my 98 Dak and my 05 Dak and was attempting to find a GREAT deal on an 09 Dak in Dec 09. Very few choices and the dealers were not discounting them very much. Found numerous deals on RAMS and bought one (with a hemi and more equip) for about 1K more than I could get a Dak.

I still haven't gotten used to the size (I'm 5'9" with short arms) but after driving it for a couple weeks I took the Dak for a spin and could not believe how RUGGED it felt.

There's your answer.

When did dodge get rid of the extended cabs on the rams? My '99 had an extended cab, but I'm very happy with my Quad cab. Crew cab made the bed look short.

Well, today I took a Single Cab, Quad Cab and Crew Cab all for a test drive. Outta them all, the single cab suits me the best. As i'm single, and I enjoy it a lot. When I wanna get up and go somewhere, I don't have to wait for anyone else. I have no plans for kids in the future. As they drive me up the wall. I know you'll say, you will change your mind. I can't stand being around them. As for friends, I don't let them inside my vehicles. They have no respect.
