As a lot of you probably know, I patiently waited for my 2010 Sport to come in after I ordered it in August. It came 3 days before Christmas, but to my surprise, it looked exactly like a 2009. When I asked the dealer about it, he was also confused, so he went to the regional rep. He is saying that the rep said they made a running change on the line and that the 2010 Sports are going to get the same grille as 09's.

I know there are a couple other sports out there and it looks like most of you got the correct (color matched) grille, so I'm still confused. If any of you would like to share you VIN with me, I would really like to have the owner look up our VIN's and compare them side by side, as I don't buy the "running change" b.s. they are trying to feed me. I did see that the dealer just got two more 2010 sports on the lot, and they both had the chrome grilles... which backs up his story.

Anyways, they agreed to swap my grille since the web and all other stuff indicated it should have been color matched when I ordered it. I took it in yesterday for the swap and I'd share some pics. I chose to keep the chrome webbing and only have them replace the outer ring to be color matched (personal preference). Definitely looks better so I'm happy!

Let me know what everyone else is seeing out there with the sports and if anyone else got a sport with a chrome grille.

I like it, I have an SLT and I perfer the chrome when the bumper is chrome as well. When you have a painted bumper and a chrome grill then you compare that to your front end with the matching painted grill, you made the right choice, it looks quite sharp.

I have a 09 sport and it came with color matched grill.. I've seen other 09 sports that came with chrome grill.. not sure why but personally I don't like the chrome grill on a sport.

Thanks for the pics... Mine is also mineral gray and have been wondering what the chrome insert would look like on mine.. Now I know.. and I think I will order it..

You should change the fuel filler door as well so I know how it looks on the mineral gray.. LOL
