Default AEM, Volant, or Airaid

Hey gang

I know this topic has been beaten to death...

Any thoughts, For my birthday today.... I'm finally going to order something for my truck, and think an intake is the best choice..

wanted some feedback on deciding

Airaid

AEM

Volant

The volant out of all of them actually is on the more expensive end, but that thing looks really nice

Volant, you should be able to get it for about $350 and remember that it includes a $90 4 year/100k mile filter. Before you buy one call volant and make sure there aren't any issues w/ it b/c I've seen some post about fitment issues.

I installed the Airaid CAI and throttle body spacer on my 09 Hemi. It really wakes up the truck. Are you looking for the CAI cause the picture of the Airaid is just the box and filter. The Airaid kit I bought from www.autoanything.com included an intake tube also. I got everything for $450 during a sale.

Everyone is going to have an opinion on this, but for what it's worth, I have the Volant and I think the fit and finish are great. Throttle response seems better, mainly at higher RPMs - i.e. getting on the freeway. I've tried many makes over the years (K&N, Airaid, ect...) on various vehicles with this being my first Volant CAI, and overall I am very happy with the product. Hope this helps.

My .02, go with the open design, MOPAR or the AFE ( even Airaid, but I removed mine because of some bad part throttle noise using the stock air tube ). All the Volants I've seen are closed boxes, but so is the stock box. The stock box also has a huge vender well air duct compared to other stock intakes I've seen ( take a look at an F150, it's about the size of a golf ball ) so why not just buy a k&n drop in and save the $$ for another mod versus spending hundreds on a closed design Volant.
