Default Let me pick your brain on an audio question

Well here is my question....will a 6x9 speaker fit in the rear doors ???

I know they will fit in the front....also does anyone know what size speaker is stock on the dash section ???

Thanks in advance.

Will post pictures of my audio setup once she is completed (Feb 13th install date)

yup 6x9's in all four doors, replaced those with some jl audios. the ones in the dash are 3 1/2 i think. didnt buy those though. I replaced the ones in the dash with some tweeters from kenwood. i think they had to use a bracket for it when i had them installed, but sounds much better than stock.

Wicked thank you very much

I have 4x 6x9's Alpine Type S from my old Sebring along with 2x 3.5's.

It should make a difference in the sound once again :-)

Also installing my 2 10inch Kicker subs in the truck under the rear seat.....Cant wait

Just an FYI Crutchfield.com has a fittiment guide that helps alot. I swapped the 6X9's in the front doors with 2 5 1/4 and put 2 tweets in the dash instead of the 3.5's. Imaging is GREAT and it sounds a millon% better than the muffled stock.

You can fit 6x9s easily into the rear doors with no modification and you can fit 6x9s with no more then a 3 1/4" mounting depth into the front if you are willing to cut a tiny bit of plastic in the way. You must also consider that the stock REN stereos come with a quasi-crossover. Replacing the stock stereo will do you leaps and bounds in terms of improving the sound.

I'm bringing the truck in to my buddies audio shop.....lots of custom installs go on in there....cutting a bit of plastic is the least of my worries LOL

Rizam: we looked at Crutchfield while I was there but like his application for fitment it shows the rear doors as 5.25 speakers...which I already have the speakers from my old car and wanted to see if I needed to order a new pair in or the currents would fit
