Default Engine light came on after muffler install

Anybody have there engine light come on after muffler install? I had a speed shop install a Flowmaster super 40 Muffler and take of the resonators. Sounds awesome! About two days after the installation the engine light came on. I know i need to take it to the dealer. Any suggestions what it might be?

Thanks all for your help.

Might be because the resonators were removed. I swapped out only the muffler and never got a engine light.

Until the truck is scanned, all we say is speculation. If it is related to your new exhaust system, an exhaust leak may induce a Post Catalyst fault do to the introduction of "false air". I'd be finding a way to have the truck scanned cheap, without going to the dealership. If it is related to the new exhaust, I'd be going back to have them fix it. Good luck.

excellent idea. autozone (or somewhere similar) will scan your vehicle for free.
don't give dodge a reason for heaping blame on you for this or any future problems.
