Ha ha no not a Amsoil dealer. I have just been using it for years now. What made me a believer was when I put it in my snowmobile like 5 years back. I could not believe the difference, from then on I have used it in everything. I just like the stuff.

I put my order in for a Hemi QC just two days ago. At the last minute, I added the 3.92 for the LSD and the increased tow rating. Much of my reasoning seemed justified after reading numerous posts here. I feel great reading the comments on my choice here.

The rpm's at cruising speed for ANY of these gear combinations are extremely modest when compared to my old Camaro Z28. It has a 4 speed standard with 3.73 posi axle.

3000 rpm at 62mph!

The best I could ever cruise was 3500 at 70mph; above that the engine is totally racing.

BTW, mileage on that car was about 16.5 at best, running 65mph on flat roads.

If I don't get over 72mph and stay in the 2000 rpm range I get a soild 20mpg.

....and the hemi is smoother at 2000 than it is at 1700 by a good amount. It has a nicer more pleasing sound also. It just lugs too much and wants to down shift when it stays at 1600-1700. With 20s, the 3.92 or 4.10 is much better than the others.

Just doing a little research. So many folks have problems with retro-fit ring & pinion set ups that I'm thinking about buying the complete OEM axle housing with gears factory installed.

Discount dealers are selling them for about $1300. That's equivalent to having only the OEM ring and pinion installed at a dealership.

Odds are I could get a few $$$ for the removed axle assembly.

Did a 150 mile round trip a few days ago.

R/C, S/B with 3.92's, with the cruize set at 65 and 300miles on the ticker netted me 20.8mpg to, and 20.3 back with the MDS kicking in about half the time.

Not too shabby.

While the Canadian dollar is at par with th US dollar these days, mileage is not.

20.8mpg is nearly 25mpg with OUR gallons!

Digging up an old thread . . .

Does anyone have anything new to add? I'll be buying a new 2011 right towards year end. I am still set on the 3.91.
