Real world gas mileage
It will get better as weather warms, but for pulling not much better.
It should also be noted, the EVIC does not necessarliy represnt an accurate MPG reading. You should be manually calcing. I notcied mine does do better in the winter, but is off by as much a 1MPG in the summer.

Why were you running 93 octane out of curiousity? Also did you have the Tow/Haul mode on to keep it from going over drive?
Last time I towed I got about 12-13 with a 6' x 12' between San Antonio and Houston but I have the 3.21 gears with 89 octane.
Was a big improvement from my '99, where I would be lucky to get 8-10.

Well...I did run one tank of 93 in the beginning...I looked at my receipts, The other tank full(s) was 89, last one 86 as NC gas was much higher. I alway noticed that my previous trucks pull better with hight octane. My dash MPG's are right on less/more .1-.2 either direction. I have been towing for many years now, use to be daily. A lot of you may not like it that I still consider this a grocery hauler, maybe a weekend warrior and thats is all. Everyone has their opinions...but I prefer the Silverado over this everyday, My 08 crew Silverado got less everyday MPG's but a much better towing truck. It held 65-70 much easier and I got 11-13 with 6K behind it. My sprinter Van get 13-15 towing more weight with a V6. Hemi is a fine motor empty, but not great otherwise. Next truck will be a Cummins, or another Chev gas.
