Rusty drive shaft on new truck

I suggest POR15 (paint over rust), brush or spray on. If you spray it you probably wont need to rebalance the shaft. I brushed the whole frame and diffs on my last truck after 5 years of driving on salty snowy roads and it looked brand new, clean it up quickly with a wire brush and plaster it on!

Yep POR15. And make sure you wear latex gloves...cause that stuff is like Tattoo ink. It stays in your skin, FOREVER!
But that is the very first mod I do to all my trucks. Get under there and paint. Springs shocks, front end parts, axles etc.....I just like it all to look good and not rust up. makes it easier to wash too....
