Anybody install a Recon or similar tailgate LED bar? If so, how did you deal with the hole for the spare tire crank? Did you go over it, on top of it, under it?

Any tips for getting the bar on perfectly straight? I was behind a guy a couple of weeks ago who had one, and it was very wavy looking...

im not real handy... but i installed my recon line of fire.. and yeah i went over the hole..

the piece is kinda L shaped.. you should line it up before you take the tape off.. stick it on without much pressure until you get it leveled.. then press it in harder

 

It fits, in a nice straight line, above the hole. Looks great from the rear and still totally visible.

 

i installed mine above the hole also with no problem
