Thanks for the pics, looks a lot like the volant. Where is the IAT mounted on the K&N, you can see it on the volant right above the TB sticking out to the right of the tube?

EDIT: For comparison sake the K&N then the volant.

It's on the back side. There's an easy plug in extention wire that came with the kit for it to reach.

it looks like the K&N uses the bottom of the stock airbox...is that right or am i seeing things.

I have been itching to get a CAI, and I was about to try the volant. I am glad K&N is finally coming out with their FIPK. I had good luck with the K&N I had on my 4.3 S-10 so i'm sure the 5.7 version will be even better.

Nope, Its the side of where the stock air box was.
