Default paint question

the dealer had to repaint one of my fenders due to some chipping. I want to install my husky mud flaps. With them they give a paint protecting film and recommend cleaning the area with a 3m cleaner.

question is the painting was done a few days ago, is it too early to put something like this on the paint? how long does the paint take to fully cure?

i work in a bodyshop and we put the sticky chip guards back on the vehicles a day after it comes back from paint...
but a word of warning...after time that "clear" film turns yellow, then it starts cracking and holding dirt and dirt holds moisture...not saying that it will but in time that can lead to a rust issue.

I'm not familiar with the huskies, ar ethey molded like the dodge splash guards? If so you definately want some protective film between the plastic flap and paint or else it will chafe through the paint in no time

Man I have some of that, why didn't somebody tell me sooner, screw that I will just blame the dealer they installed them. Nope mine doesn't have any plastic. The only places there were or are plastic is on the edge of the rear painted bumper, to protect if you dont have mudflaps. I thought it was a mistake or something missed by dealer in prep cuz one was hanging off I just pulled it off, they realizing this thing had a shape I checked theother side and there was a good one. I didn't bother to replace as I said the rear flaps stop it from being hit.

Default paint problems

sorry didnt think about that. one way to remedy that is 3M double sided tape. put that in the areas where it looks like it will rub. putting the tape down helps stop the rubbing and any unwanted squeaks or rattles...that drives me insane...
