Default Mygig auto dimming

I really love my truck, but am a little frustrated with the nav system. For some reason, the auto dim function is tied to the headlights, instead of the daylight sensor (where is that sensor, by the way...), so when it starts to rain during the daytime, the nav dims when I turn my wipers on, since the headlights are set to come on when the wipers are on.

Secondarily, it seems that the daylight sensor is a little too sensitive in that it wants to turn the headlights on and dim the nav about a half hour before dusk even gets close...

Are there any fixes for either of these issues?

No idea about the fixes, but the light sensor is on your dash. Should be just to the left of the center speaker (if you've got one). It's a dark/black bubble toward the windshield.

You can turn the auto dim on and off yourself and that will fix it. Just use the thumb wheel by your headlight switch.

If you go under your evic you can change the lights to not come on with the sensor thats probably the only way to stop the dimming

You can set the evic so the lights don't come on with the wipers, but I live in one of those states that requires lights when your wipers are on.
