Default volant intake

part # 160576 i'm new to this so i'm hoping someone will reply with a good answer. i want to get some air to my hemi, but from what i've been reading these new dodges are computer smart. if you do put a intake on to get more air the truck corrects the mass air intake, so basically you spend the money for nothing. i have a 02 ram and i'm finding myself wanting to get the same stuff for the 09 but again from what i've been reading the upgrades are not worth the money. computer this and that and the warrenty coverage has hindered me on buying anything.

lift kit no chance til 3yr/36000 is up
difference in opinion on the mufflex dods14
computer programmers are never going to happen cause if the dealer finds out your warrenty is junk.

Custom tuning transforms a Hemi with CAI/exhaust mods. Unleash the beast, dump the EPA compliant factory "detune".
Hints below!

ive had mine on the dyno and was shown inperson the intake made more power. The 09HEMI will make power from an intake but it takes alot of r&d time with the dyno to find it.

I put my new Volant CAI on tonight and noticed that the bottom front part of the intake does not fit snug to the fender wall. There is at least a 1" gap there. Anyone else have this problem? Would this cause a problem with air leaking into the engine compartment instead of moving through the CAI? I am thinking about taking it off. This is the 3rd Volant I have had now and my other 2 matched up to the fender wall just fine.
