Default Gas mileage

What is the best and the most accurate way of figuring your gas mileage on the highway?
Thanks,
Jack

This is what I use to do to figure my MPG. In about a week and a half I'll be doing a 650 mile trip to El Paso, Tx to see the woman. I fuel up till the nozzle clicks, take out the nozzle. I reset the odometer to zero, I drive until I'm about 50-60 miles till empty, pull in to a gas station, note what the odometer says and fill up till it clicks, note the gallons. Take the gallons and divide into the miles you drove since you last filled up, thats in my case my highway MPG because the first tank full is all highway................................Kevin.
