i have a 09 crew cab ST with a stock single side out exhaust. i hate the look of the resonater and tip hanging so low. i wanna know has anyone done a conversion were you can take the resonater off without getting a cat back system and getting the tip closer to the body so it doesn't drag the dirt? oh almost forgot, and have it done without the engine light coming on...

 

Easy fix, take it to any muffler shop. I have the dual setup, but i still had the res cut out. They'll just weld on a filler pipe and you can have them weld a new hanger for the adjustment or height of the tip that you want. It should be cheap too. It will not throw any codes either.

 

thanks jason, i havent figured out what i want yet, i had a flowmaster on my 02 ram but it was only a v6 theres alot of difference between a 3.7 and a hemi like 200 horses im nervouse i'll get something that is loud with alot of in cab drone cut off the resonators and it will be crazy loud which i dont want

 

Toss the res & run an invisible turn down tip behind bumper.

 

i have the magnaflow 24", cut out res, not to aggressive but a nice tone and the cab drone is minimal.
