Default Sport "aggressive note" vs. Laramie "Refined Note"

Dodge website and brochure lists that the Sport comes with the dual exhaust with a "aggressive note" and the Laramie dual exhaust with a "Power Refined Note".

Has anyone ever heard both of them to compare? and is there a difference or is this just total marketing BS?

I just got done shopping for a 2010 Ram I ended up buying a Sport partly because I liked the Rumble of the exhaust compared to a SLT or Laramie with dual tailpipes. Try both out and compare, even at idle the Sport sounds good especially when standing at the back of the truck.

I've got the R/T, I took a buddy for a ride and he couldn't believe it was the stock exhaust. I've driven the Laramie too, it's definitely quieter from idle to full throttle.

dont just buy a trim level do to only muffler sound.. chrome v painted bumers and other things should matter more

pick whichever trim you want.. then go buy a $90 borla (or other) muffler.. have a corner shop install it for $50 and you will never regret it... hit the throttle and **** the wife off

I'm going with the Sport over the Laramie to save 2-3k and I like the options the sport already comes with (and the exterior). I was just really wondering how they made the sound different because I can't imagine the assembly line spends much time putting on different exhaust systems on different trim levels (besides the dual vs. side pipe). Anyone know what changes they make?

If Chrysler was smart they'd offer the sport exhaust as an option on all Hemi equipped trucks as well as standard on the sport package - an easy way to ream the customer for more cash. People will pay for performace; or the illusion of performance - look at ricer crowd.
