Default Help

I own a 2009 Ram 1500 4x4 Laramie, and have been having a couple of issues, hoping you can help. I have had this truck for about 5 months now.

I live in Northern Canada and with the snow melting it is quite slushy on the roads. What I have noticed lately is that the ESP/BAS light comes on service 4x4 comes on and ABS and it deactivates park assist. The chime is nonstop an it seems to lurch and hesitate. This happens it seems only when slushy out and I can wash it and warm it it seems to go away. It has become quite a nusiance and I think a hazard when it happens at icy highway speeds.

Another issue I have noticed is my front bumper has already started to rust.

Anyone else have these issues? Any ideas? I am gonna have to book it in for warranty by the sounds of it too bad dealer is 5 hrs away from me. The dealer here deems it non priority as I did not purchase from them

Default Here you go

There is a TSB for the service park assit TSB 08-010-09 and if your bumper is rusting epically from the mounting bolts bring it in the end of winter for warranty replacement. Just had mine done and only 13 months old. There are different solutions. Search the forums. 3M makes a product but I'm going with a clear bumper bra which I found on ebay.

Thanks for the info, cna you tell me where I can read that bulliten? Also that answered the questions about the park assist, but what about the ESP/BAS, and ABS is that all tied in to the park assist, because when this happens the park assist turns off at same time
