Look what I found in a parking lot. Thought you guy might like it.

If I know then what I know now I would have this truck.

Yes but its a 6.7. It will spend more time in the shop then that parking lot.

I love how people talk down the 6.7 all the time... we have 8 5500 tow trucks, with the 6.7... Most have approx 70,000kms on it, and only 1 has had minor issues...

my buddy is a mechanic for dodge here and the 6.7's are always showing up in the shop. we have some 5.9's from 03 to 06 for work and a couple of the 6.7's too and the 5.9 gets twice the MPG as the 6.7 and even with the numbers on the sticker for HP and TQ the 5.9 just seems to get er done better. i think its all the brains in the new trucks that dont let them reach full potential.

My new 3500 looks similar to the pic above but is Austin Tan. I have 1800 kms / or just over a 1000 miles. So far it has been back to the shop for an EGR Leak, steering problem, brake pedal clip recall, both mirrors are rattling, rear back up camera went on the fritz, the rear park sensors screw up every time water hits them, command start stopped working (probably as a result of the check engine light being on when the egr problem arose), runs rough when cold (same egr problem), re adjust headlights from factory. Strangely enough I absolutely love the truck, it rides better than my 08' did I think because of the new and improved cab mounts. The seats are better than my 08' and Dodge finally listened to the consumer and quit putting cheap plastic controls inside the cab. The 6.7 in my 08 never had any issues, and so far other than the egr (which is on the exhaust) no probs with this one....yet.

What you need to buy, if you buy a 6.7... (if your laws permit) REMOVE EGR, and REMOVE DPF!... But like i said, 8, and only 1 with minor issues, mind you, we WORK THEM, ALL DAY LONG... maybe that's what they need to be problem free!? lol
