dearborn mi. glo car wash. i have never had a shop refuse to work on any of the vehicles. i also have never taken it back to get touched up either. the longest lasting specimen was a 14yr old astro van that was one of the only ones around without the rust that all the rest of em had....

i want to say for the ram they quoted me $285. for the full job. i think a little less since i said i wasnt getting the hood done..

yes, it makes a mess, but i have personally seen how well it works agianst michigans crappy salt infested winters. in fact i still need to get my ram done!! work has been slow etc. so im tryin not to spend right now...

my 97 ranger is one of the only ones i see that the bottom of the tailgate isnt rusted.

ill take a pic of my ranger to show you guys the 'drill hole/grommet" in the door sill, since i havent done my ram yet... it sounds worse than it is.

ok, pics of the ranger as promised. now give me a break here. its my work truck. so its pretty dirty, dont judge me......lol

now i imagine it would be similar in the ram, or maybe in the front only..... not sure, but you get the idea of how clean the install is.also, im very, very picky when it comes to other people working/touching my vehicles etc. they do a great job drilling the holes, no scratches from shavings etc surrounding the grommets.. hope this helps.

How much does this cost and is it worth it? I already have some rust under mine and I have only 7990 miles on it. Will they get the existing rust off first?

It will also drip for a very long time. So plan on parking in the yard or you will have a big mess in your driveway for many months. It really never dries but does stop dripping after a time. Until you go and have it touched up.
Can't do that here. I have a lawn, not a yard.

yes it is worth it. look at my previous posts for thoughts and pricing for the ram.

i know for vehciles such as mine/yours that have already been through some winter/salting etc. they steam wash the underbody before they apply the undercoating. works perfect. in fact my ranger above didnt have the coating applied till it was 6yrs old and through that many winters. it still made a huge difference compared to other rangers i see that havent had the undercoating applied.

about the only downside is the drips in the summer. i mean its not that extreme. when its 100 deg. out you might have to wipe some spots off every couple weeks etc....
