Default Just purchased a new 09 Ram 4X2 TRX!!

Can't wait to pick it up! It is a dealer demo with 3k+ miles. Pretty much loaded except the leather/heated seats.Has the 30 gig hard drive. I bought it from a dealer on Ebay and have only seen the pics. The color is Sunburst Orange (anyone have that color) and the pics. make it look almost red. Are there any pics on here that is the same color? Feels like Christmas morning!

Sticker price was 37k+ and my purchase price was $25,580.00. Does that sound like a fair deal?

BTW,what does TRX stand for?

Congrats!

How well do the TRX's fair with traction? I was talking with a dealer and he mentioned if you dont have the money for a 4x4 get the 2 wheel drive TRX. Whats different with it? Is it really that much better?

The dealer ( take with a grain of salt) told me with the trac. control on this setup it is the next best thing to 4x4 and will get better mpgs than the 4x4.

I haven't had a chance to check it out yet. It has the 3.92 gears BTW.

I'd think it would be 3.92's like you said w/ the dodge limited slip and the ESP. Check your build sheet or sticker to see if you have an anti slip rear.

TRX is just a package that on two wheels drives includes mostly just decals, front tow hooks, and the quad lights. If it was a 4x4 it would be called a TRX4. TRX4's have skidplates and come standard with 3.92 gears. 2wd's can have anywhere from a 3.21, 3.55, or 3.92's depending on how they are optioned. That's cool you just bought yours, I just bought mine this past Saturday. Mine is Black, with the graphite two tone, oh that's reminds me, TRX's also get the wheel flares standard. I think that's about it.. I may have missed a few things, but I have not resarched them completely. Let me know what you get for gas mileage, no two trucks will get the same mileage, but my truck was averaging 18-19+ on my trip home. I had the cruised set anywhere from 70 to 80 mph, and that also included playing with the autostick a bit...

Actually.....

TRX4 is the following gents

Skid plates

Standard 3.92's

Everything else you mentioned

And Reinforced shocks in the front, stand a TRX4 next to a Sport and you will see a height variance +.5" .

Well the OP just has a TRX not a TRX4, so the TRX is just a decal package then? I built a TRX on the dodge site w/ 3.92's and it had the anti slip rear standard w/ the 3.92's so I assume Rickram has the same.

This is a link to the PU I bought. See if this tells you guys anything. I am pretty sure the salesman did mention anti-slip diff.
