Default whining when accelerating

I have a 2005 Ram 5.7L hemi and there is a whining noise when I accelerate, seems to be RPM related and stops around 50 mph. Doesn't seem to affect the power and stops when you release the accelerator. Any ideas?

Did you post this question in the 3rd gen forum? 4 gen motors are a little different and maybe some of the 3rd gen individuals have the same issues you have... Just a thought.

But no, I have no idea what your issue might be...

One possibility is the pinion bearing on the rear differential. (or front differential if a 4x4.)
