Default 2500 mpg's

I'm considering buying a 2010 2500 crew cab. I like the TRX model but it looks like I can only get it with a 4.10 rear. I was wondering what others were getting for mpg's with the following configuration. 2500 CC 4WD, short box with the 5.7L gas and 4.10 rear. Thanks in advance.

My advice, Bail on any thoughts of a 2500 Hemi crew cab if MPG is your main issue, Dodge screwed over the gas 2500 market by not offering a 6sp manual transmisson,( no brand has a manual in a 2500, dodge used to, thats why I bought a dodge ) if you get coud get a 2500 hemi with a 6sp, I would be factery ordering my new truck.

Automatics in Dodge trucks, I hate them, The hemi is awsome.

Also Dodge pissed me off by bailing on patriot blue and thier base TRX and Larami trucks don't have the same paint options as the ST, or SLT and as you mentioned a 410 is standard on the TRX, but you might want a 373, I sure you could get a 373.

Building a dodge truck on line is not as user freindly as back in 06 when I built my truck exactly as I wanted on line

In my situation, I have to pay for A ctd to get a manual, 9 grand more. Relly take a hard look at what you want a gas ram 2500 to do, its still a hell of a truck, but beware of more expectations than a truck can do.

With a 373 I doubut you would see more than 16 mpg highway, empty at 60 mph.

THe 6.7 CTD is not good on flue in comparsion to the 5.9 CTD (just what I have heard) and in my case, to get a manual, I pay 9 grand for a CTD, when a Hemi, 6sp manual combo gets better mpg than a hemi auto in a 2500..

Take a look at the GM 3/4 ton trucks, better automtic than the Dodge and abought equal power to the hemi, the 5.3 is a great engine, and the 6.0 is quick, but booth are hard on flue.

No more new dodges for me.
