Thanks again everyone for your inputs. I'm still not 100% which way I'm going to go. I am starting to lean towards just springing for all the bells and whistles and just calling it a day. Or maybe finding a happy medium by getting the upgraded stereo with the park view camera but not getting the factory NAV. Then just using the Garmin I plan to get for my Harley. I'm still leaning towards aftermarket for the alarm and remote start as I don't seem to find many glowing reviews of either of those on the forums.

Attono - In answer to your questions I'm no brown shoe. I'm a traditional sea duty IT. My IA assignment is part of a joint forces battle staff that operates out of the back of Air Force C-130s. I was thinking of going air crew for a while but now that all of the air crew ratings have merged I would have been cutting my throat for advancement. I'm glad I got to do this assignment though. First because you aren't gonna meet many ITs with Air Medals on their chest. Second, because it gave me a break from a bad command. (Google Truxtun CO Relieved to see what I mean.)

As for career progression I definitely have not ruled out becoming an officer. I'd really like to make Chief first though as I think officers who earned their anchors get a lot more respect up and down the CoC. Ideally, I would like to go CWO but I wouldn't turn down LDO either.

Lunch sounds great. Ever try Smoked From Above? If your a BBQ fan you got check it out.

I'll be standing by. FWIW, I've been using my remote start every morning and it works perfectly. Matter of fact, my wife is now wanting one for her Acura, she's so jealous.

I bought a Garmin Quest for my Harley. Works great for the bike, but anything bigger just doesn't hang right or look right on a Harley. Even for the Quest, you need to hard wire it to the battery or the internal battery won't last on long rides. I did try to use it in my Jeep as well, but it's just a little too cumbersome to operate to use it routinely in the primary wheels.

Congratulations. Best of luck with OCS. I'm working with Marines for the second time in my career at my current command and I have a lot of respect for the way they do business.

Attono - I'm looking at the Harley version of the Garmin 660 as it is actualy $50 cheaper than the Garmin 660's MSRP. I like the fact that they have a fairing mount system for Harley's touring bikes and it comes with all of the necessary hook ups for a clean install. Tom Tom's Rider 2 looks pretty nice too, but the display is a little on the small side. What kind of Harley do you ride?
