Default Defect Hypochondriacs Shaddup!

I can't believe the problems that are being reported as major issues. Come on when you think about it we are building vehicles that have increased in quality and decreased in price the 2010 RAM is a grand cheaper, that must have been for the lifetime warranty for the US drivetrains. They fly down the line I am guessing under a minute, I was at that plant once when they were getting ISO certified to check out the process since we were working on it at our plant the plant wasn't running at the time but anyway I would guess they build them under a minute. The Minivan 45 seconds. So how can you expect perfection? Come on, if they were built like the Europeons supposed hand built cars. Compare the prices over 200000 dollars for one of those hand built vehicles or28000 for a robot and people in running shoes built vehicle that is probably as good if you compare what you get, dollar for dollar.

I swear people buy new vehicles just to complain, I guess if they can complain about the vehicle I can complain about them??

My truck is not perfect if it was you would know it, I don't like the brand of tires, I don't trust them but Chrysler does not build or warranty them, neither does Good year for that matter.Ever try to get a tire warrantied, good luck. I wish I had leather seats instead of vinyl, but I knew I was getting these...I also knew about the lower towing because before I write a cheque for 30 grand I research. If you don't you have more money than brains. I paid more in 2003 for a Durango, no HEMI, you wanna talk bad mileage I won't bore ya cuz I knew what I was buying. I have way more truck now and paid 10 grand less. This suspension rocks, it handles better than hard leafs, no drifting from the rear end when you hit a bump.

Next time just grab the brochure even before you buy. You might buy what you want next time. To those who are happy.........so am I. Lets keep lovin our trucks and have fun with them. Just find a good dealer, they are out there somewhere just look.

Oh I forgot to mention your salesman can be an excellent person to help you, if he wants to keep a customer he can get more done that you.

Keep drinking your Kool-Aid.

People spend 30-40K for a new vehicle, they're entitled to bitch if stuff breaks. You think the leather seat wear issue is no big deal? What about trannies that stick in 4th gear?

72- i agree with you to an extent. as far as squeaks and rattles and stuff like that i am with you but when quite a few people have their transmissions stick in 4th gear then yeah i am on the bitching side.

Sorry but I agree with him for the most part. I'm really surprised at some of the simple stuff people complain about as being a major issue. Some of which can be remedied by reading the owner's manual, which it seems not many people do.

Trannies stuck in 4th gear? Major issue and worth writing about, without question.

I beg to differ, complaining and informing others of problems are similar on the forums. Yes, ppl will be upset and need to vent for issue with their truck, considering not everyone got that special deal or offer.

If we didn't complain about our problems here, then how would we all know about common issues or fixes?

And for getting a brochure before buying - please show me in the brochure where it states you might have tranny problems, rear window leaks, etc.

1st year model, i'm not an idiot, yes it will have issues, they all do. But to complain about ppl complaining is just dumb, and then to tell ppl to get a brochure and that will inform you on all the problems that dodge is having... Now, 2010 owners can read our post and find common issues thanks to our time, work and money - which will aid them in choosing a dodge or not.

I've owned 4 brand new vehicles, all 08/09 30K+ each, this truck is the only one i've had issues with, but I still love my truck. Overall, for the money we all paid, a lot or not, we still have the right to get what we pay for, not because it's made by a machine or not...

Here's you, complaining about the same damn problem, 11 times, in 11 different threads. These came about from a quick search, I'm sure your nonsense spreads a lot farther than these posts.

So the next time someone complains, think to yourself, "Did they post the same problem more than 10 times?" If the answer's "No," and I'm sure it will be, how about you follow your own advice, and just shut up?

As long as they post the eventual solution to the problem, I think every poster adds to the knowledge base. Even minor annoyances help, if you post the problem and then the fix so that anybody else who has the same problem can search and find it.

Indeed, not to mention if its a common small problem its good to know that you are not suffering alone and not worth taking it to the dealer to complain over. All cars/trucks have their little issues, go to a Toyota, Chevy or Ford forum and its all the same.

I'd rather read about them here then have to rely on my dealer telling me whats 'normal' or not.

I agree with 72!

There is some whinning on here about BS sometimes, but very entertaining. Now the above events doc on 72 seems more like complaining about the service he recieved not the truck, don'.t know didn't go back and read all the threads but the quoted versions seem to be about that 5 star service. I too have dealt with them, all day to starscan a rear cam, only for them to tell me it was a problem with the part, went home and diagnosed/fixed in 15 minutes.

And yes this is a great site for exchange of problems and ideas, but whining about the chrome accented interior and the like, well don't buy the truck or paint it. Check my threads no whinning about the truck, maybe service related or price of a part, love my truck as I did my last 2 3rd gens that I own, and they had a few problems but minor, comes with the territory of owning a machine.
