KMC XD Diesel... Do They Fit?
Ok,
Got a question for all you 09+ Ram 1500 wheel/tire gurus. Do the KMC XD Diesels just not fit 4th Gen Rams?
The reason I ask is I'm very picky when it comes to after market wheels. I search and I search and finally decide that I like the Diesels the best out of what's out there. Then I start searching around for pics and I find nada.
So, I run the numbers. A few sites list the 18" Diesels as fitting the 4th Gen. Problem is I want 20". They do offer a 20x10, 5x5.5 (5x139) with a -24 offset and about 4.86" backspace. But, according to the sites that list wheel fitment by vehicle that won't work.
Now, the real question is will it not work because it is outside of factory specs or not work because the spokes are gonna hit the brake calipers or something equally destructive. I know there are websites that will only list a wheel as fitting if the offset and backspace are within very close adherance to the factory wheel.
Me personally I like the tires to protrude a little past the fenders. IDK, I just like the mudder look.
Anyhow, I really want to get these wheels with either 33s or 35s depending on what lift I go with. Can anyone tell me if these are impossible to fit or if it's just not advised. Keep in mind my math ain't the best. LOL.
Sorry if this topic has been covered before. I did a search for both factory offset/backspace and for the wheel name. Wouldn't ya know it about a million threads popped up and still couldn't find the answer I was looking for.
Thanks in advance!
