Default TRX4 MPG vs other models

Hi guys,

I am looking to buy a new 2010 Ram. My problem is that I like the look of the TRX4 but I won't really be pulling anything big. I am mostly a city driver so my question is "Is there a big difference in the gas mileage between the TRX and the others (because of the 3.92 axle ratio?).

Thanks,
Steve

You can get 3.92 in any model. The TRX4's just come with them standard.

I have a TRX,not 4 WD but 2 WD. It has the 3.92 and I just checked yesterday after a full tank and it was getting 17 mpgs running around in the OKC area. This is with Non Ethonal 87 oct. gas. I will try the 87 oct. eth. next time I fill up and see what the mpgs are with that. I am not driving real hard but I do drive with the flow and that's always faster than the speed limits here, unless rush hour that is. But I figure that 17 in mixed city use is not bad at all. I hear (don't know for sure) that 4 WD would get me about 2 mpg less.

I've got a 2010 1500 Hemi, 4x4 Quad, short bed, SLT, Big Horn with 20" wheels and 3.55 gears. Currently getting 12.5-14mpg. But this truck only has 800 miles and it is winter so the oxygenated fuel doesn't help mpgs up here in New England.
