Question navigation system

My factory nav system highlights the road I am travelling on in yellow and it stays like that on the map. Is this normal? I would like to turn that feature off if possible, it makes it harder see the route. Also, there is no "address book" to store locations in. Do you have to enter the address every time? Sorry for all the questions, but my truck didn't come with a nav manual. The one I found on the net was VERY vague. It also says I only have 16 gigs of space, it's supposed to be 30. Is the map database stored on there?

http://www.dodge.com/en/owners/mygig/

click on the 'mygig resources' on the lower left of the page and you can download the manual.

Thats about right for the HDD capacity, the gracenote database and maps are on there.

That's the one I downloaded but it is only 9 pgs and not very descriptive. I would be very surprised if this nav system could not store addresses and such, i just can't find any literature on how to do it. The road being highlighted yellow is driving me nuts!! Anybody have any more info on the system??

Sounds like you have the trip log turned on. You turn it off by pressing the little icon in the bottom right corner of the screen.
