Default Reading Light Bulb Replacement

I'm thinking of changing the OEM Reading Light Bulb with a LED one and I can't find any info in the manual on how to change them. Does anybody know if you have to drop the complete headliner, or is there any other access.

depends on what color you get...I put in the ice colored ones and they put out just as much light as the old ones and look so much better.

When you said "the whole plastic piece", are you referring to the clear lens cover or the entire overhead piece that houses everything,
