I almost went with Magnaflow but I was concerned it was going to be too quiet after reading all the reviews. I went with the At3030 because it is a straight through design like magnaflow and the sound is supposed to be incredible. It's going on next week I can't wait. Can you post a sound clip of your Magnaflow?

Oh no please tell me your kidding it's only the greatest muffler known to man. lol The video below is for the diesel version its the only vid I could find but the hemi version is even better.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KZVRdRYdxrM

There are sound clips of Ram Hemi's with Aeroturbine 3030's all over you tube check out the sound clips. The muffler runs $130 from most online retailers and there is no catback available they only make the muffler but they are so popular they are hard to find anywhere in stock. The video link above explains it all though.

The At3030 muffler is a straight though design with airfoils within to create a vacuume. With a Hemi you basically have to have a straight through design. Flowmasters have been consistantly proven to reduce Hemi power test after test because the Hemi doesn't perform well at all with chambers, It has to have a straight though design to make any additional power like magnaflow or mbrp or glasspacks, or the AT3030. The At3030 sucks the exhaust right out of the engine and adds a ton of power not to mention it sounds phenenomal.

Ok, i removed the Flowmaster Delta 50 from my 2009 dodge ram 1500 Hemi and replaced it with an 18" Magnaflow and the sounds is WAY better. Its mellower and is smooth all the way through the RPM's. My flowmaster was LOUD between 1500 and 2500 RPM's and then nothing.

Awesome, thank you for the info... It does sound awesome on the clips

So just so I understand, with the 3030 I just need to add it to the factory system and not worry about getting a cat back system at all?

I know on another thread a member said the stock pipes are good... its just the stock muffler that holds the system back.

So is there any advantage with going a Magnaflow cat/back system over the 3030 and the stock pipes?

Thanks in advance.

Magnaflow and the At3030 are both a straight through design, so you can't go wrong with either. The stock 2009 and up Ram 2500 Hemi and I believe the 1500 Hemi as well, come stock with 3" exhaust piping so there is no need to replace it. I went with an AT3030 3 inch in 3 inch out and just cut out the factory muffler and welded this one in it's place. 3" exhaust is perfect for the motor any bigger would cause a loss in power. I ordered a RBP 5" exhaust tip just to finish it off but honestly the stock 3" exhaust piping is going to outlast any aftermarket system, it is made from the factory to last the life of the truck where as the cheap aluminized tubing a lot of aftermarket kits come with lasts maybe 10 Years max before it starts to rust and whatnot.

Took your advice

Just ordered a 3030 from Moes performance they had them in stock... $137.99

I crawled under my truck, your right the stock stuff looks nice. I see no need to replace the full system. I can't wait till it gets here!

I also ordered a Volant CAI

Thanks again for your advice and insight.
