Wow!! Guess I should count myself lucky with my dealer : Eastern Chrysler Dodge Jeep in Winnipeg

They have done all kinds of stuff to help me out and my parents use them all the time with no problems either. Hope you find a dealer as good as I have.

Wow....hearing these stories I am feeling pretty good. The dealership here in St.Thomas Ontario is nothing short of amazing. Always resolves any issues or questions I have had immedietly. If you live anywhere near the London-St.Thomas area you should use the one here. They go all out to make sure you drive away 100% satisfied.

Tis true- I do warranty claims for diesel engines, and nowadays to replace certain parts the manufacturer wants our mechanics to fill out a 20 field checksheet before they replace it- even if it's clear to the mechanic's naked eye what the failure is. And after that they'll still want the part to be sent to them for inspection.

LOL we have lots of dealers here, I can drive less than 50 miles and hit 10 dealers. I found if you go in with a chip on your shoulder they kinda develop one too. So when I switched dealers I tried the uber nice guy approach, compliment them on the clean Service Area which was totally empty on a Friday afternoon which I liked seeing. I asked about that and they said they are not getting as much warranty work and the work they are getting is mostly just software updates they do most right in the Service are or right outside.

Actually this is a good thing, for the customers anyway. Things will get fixed right.

Not necessarily, problem with that is the unskilled 'parts changers' can never fix anything but it slows down good techs as well. While it sounds good it wont sound too good when you have to take your truck in 15 times for the same problem because they cant throw everything at it at once and are too busy filling out paperwork.

I was a warranty administrator for Ford Motor comapny for 15 years, it was a great job but it was always a balancing act between customer satisfaction and cost. Its not as easy as it sounds because some customers can never be satisfied and some dealers just had a bunch of bad techs, a combination that makes no one happy in the end.

Ipod cable - ive been back and forth for over a year now trying to get an ipod cable to work with my REN, been through 4 cables now - one I had to wait 8 months for! Its sad when I can find out more online in 5 minutes about what parts to use than they can find out when they call the engineers in detroit, and they wont even listen to any suggestions I have! I told them its the wrong part number uconnect box but they say "no way it is definitely the right box, it came in the truck!'

Creaking seat - they did the RTT on the drivers seat, it didn't creak before but it has ever since really badly and they keep saying "can not duplicate problem" I ended up snapping infront of a whole lineup of people because the guy got smart with me and said if their tech couldn't hear it they couldn't fix it.. this is after i personally showed them the creak twice.

Vibration at 30km/h only - had it in twice now, after not being able to hear or feel it the first time they finally noticed it , its a harmonic vibe that sets up at 30km/h only and is always there, you can feel it through the floor and gas pedal as well as hear it. Second time in, they think its either a wheel bearing or rear end.. take cover off rear end - no problems so they RE-USE THE FLUID! Cheap ****s... Wheel bearings fine, so they try and blame it on a bent wheel and that i'd have to pay for a new one at $600 or something ridiculous.. If the tech had any mechanical ability whatsoever I don't know how they could even suggest a bent wheel.. seeing as I told them it was there since day 1 and the tires have been rotated twice now and no steering wheel vibe!

Warranty is completely useless with these retards, they will try and pin it on you no matter what.
Did they check your drive shaft?
