I think it's funny everyone has lost track of the post title haha. But it is a legit question can you turn off the esp? I can't find a button anywhere on mine? Ford and Chevy both have a button to disable the esp there must be a way, no?

I have an ESP button in the centre dash console under the stereo. Right beside the tow/haul button. Doesn't everyone have this? Turns off MOST of the ESP untill you get too far sideways anyway.....

So, what did you do special to 'trick' the computer?

Also, if racing, I would turn off the esp for sure. If not, as soon as the tires spin it cuts power and bam, you go no where fast. You just need to run it old school and be carefull.

Interesting, I have nothing next to the tow haul button. But I special ordered my Truck with the 4.10's and I know you have to get the limited slip rear diff with those gears so maybe that is why I have no button there?

I think ESP is only on the the lighty duty, (1500) the heavy duty people 'know' how to drive so they don't get this traction control lol...

My new 2500 does not have the ESP button either. I was hoping it meant that the HD's did not have this feature.

I know some have seen this already but mine does it with 3.92s. Most of it has to do with road surface conditions. Temp, rough, smooth, ect. There are some roads I can punch it like that and it hooks.
