Removing Laramie Bodyside Moulding
So ever since I picked up my brand new 2010 Laramie 2500 last week the bodyside moulding has been driving me crazy. I'm just not a fan. After doing some research and having a beer or two I decided do muster up the courage to tackle the stock Laramie bodyside moulding removal and it came out 5 star. I included some weak pictures but I just wanted to let anyone else out there debating doing the same thing, thats it is very easy.
First I heated up the mouldings with a hairdreyer on low, not heatgun, ghetto yes I know but does it work just as well? You bet your *** it does.
Second I removed the bolts on the bottomside of each fender.
Third after removing the bolts on the underside of the fenders that hold on the moulding, all that is left is double sided tape holding on the mouldings. I slowly removed them and most the tape came off on the fender flares luckily. For the remainder of the doublesided tape left on the body of the vehicle I firmly pressed my thumb against the body and rubbed it twards the strip of tape and it would roll off nice and clean. The parts that wouldn't come off with the thumb roll method I took some goo gone and a microfibre cloth too and it came out beautiful. It took me approx hour and a half max. Here are some pics

I actually liked the flares a lot. But to each his own. Make sure you post pic with the 35's, your truck is going to look tough!

Understandable but to each his own it's all just a matter of personal preference. I like the bushwacker riveted flares but I am just not a big fan of the stock Laramie flares. Gotta set yourself apart from the crowd. I have got a lot of responses on craigslist which is nice because it's going to pay for my Volant cold air intake
