The RKE keys are the only keys for the ignition. The hidden keys are for the front driver side door and the tailgate. The two extra keys are spare door/tailgate keys in case you ever lock your RKE in the truck. There is a hidden key inside the RKE simply to save space on your keychain.

One slight issue I found today. None of the physical keys (the extra ones nor the ones inside the RKE) can open the door of the truck without setting off the alarm, which is really annoying at the very least. That means four keys for the tailgate and in the off chance your battery dies and you need to unlock the truck (or you lock your RKE inside and you need to set off the alarm to retrieve it).

you put your Fob in the ignition and the alarm goes off. its for emergency only so I imagine since you are normally set up to use the FOB it must have to do with your alarm system. Lets say someone gets ahold of that key and make a copy well they can't steal the truck but they can get into it and spend all night stealing parts. Not sure what good that would do.

If you have a healthy battery the truck wont let anything kill you battery so that it wont start. Then if the battery is dead then it wont matter you will get in with the key and then you can replace the battery dead battery no alarm.................

When I go in for oil changes and maintenance, I give them the key fob and keep the hidden key (and all my other keys on the key chain.) This seems to be the most practical use for it.
