I have the RES radio. My Sirius radio is coming to the end of the free year and I decided to start listening to FM for a while to see if I really wanted to renew. On every station that is picked up, there is static from the engine. Turn off the engine, and all is perfect. There is no static on Sirius or AM, only FM.

I mentioned it to the dealer and they replaced my radio. It is a little better but not much. I decided to try a portable FM radio today and see if it picks up the engine static. It did too.

I was curious if anyone else is having or had this problem. Were you able to fix the problem?

 

Did you install any aftermarket HID's or other lighting?

 

No. Truck is all stock.

 

Sorry, the FM in my RER is clear as a bell.
