Default Just got a Recall Notice

I just received a "Urgent Campaign Recall Notice" from the dealer I purchased my truck from. It says Dodge and has the number "09045".
I called the dealer, but they are closed. Any ideas what this is for?

Try putting your VIN in. It may give more info. I will try mine in a few.

You knw, that number is not a recall number, it is a RRT number. It is shocking a dealer would call you on that. Generally speaking RRTs ae only performed at delivery or if a customer has their truck checked for them. Were you in for other service (that would make sense) or did they call you (that would not make sense).

I purchased the truck new from a dealer in MD. I'm in PA and I haven't taken the truck to a dealer since I purchased it. I have just over 1000 miles. They sent me a pink postcard in the mail saying it needs correction without further delay. I called them, but their service department was already closed.

What few actual recall notices I have ever received came via a letter versus a post card. The notice explained what the recall was for. I think 94RT may be correct. in that it's a RRT. Items covered generally can wait till the truck is serviced. Guess you will have to wait till the dealership is open. You can call any dealer and with your vin number they can tell you if any recall or RRT are outstanding on your vehicle.

It's hardly urgent. I believe that is the RRT for the washer fluid sensor dripping on to the temperature sensor thus causing faulty ambient air temp readings.

I have yet to see any RRTs show up for my truck on the Ram website (by entering the VIN) even though there are some that apply.

This was posted on another forum:
Rapid Response Transmittal #09-045 Washer Solvent Sensor Weepage/Inspect Ambient Airtemp Sensor. Replaced Washer Fluid Level Sensor.

Hardly urgent. Take it in when you want.
